Who We Are
What is the Watershed Wealth Coop?
The Watershed Wealth Cooperative is a
social enterprise incorporated as a
Coop under the
Cooperative
Associations Act of the province of British Columbia, Canada. We accept members from anywhere in the world.
Who started the Coop?
Our history page has more details, but the concept for the WWC was developed by Larry L. Bailey and Rural Resource Associates Ltd, with the initial incorporation completed in partnership with the
Okanagan Nation Alliance and the
Pacific Streamkeepers Federation.
Can anyone join or invest?
Members of the Watershed Wealth Cooperative are either Delivery Agents or Founders. Delivery Agents are trained and certified member franchisees representing the WWC who have representation on the Board of Directors. Founders are large organizations or other contributors that might join anytime, but are members and have representation on the Board of Directors.
However...
To make this work for everyone interested, the WWC offers investment shares that provide share-specific paybacks to non-members such as individual concerned citizens and environmentally aware consumers (who can buy "community" shares costing $20), small business or non-profit groups (who can buy "supporter" shares costing $1,000), and more formal investors (who can buy "sponsor" shares costing $10,000). Online sales of shares is anticipated shortly, so check back on this site soon!
Otherwise, anyone can join any of our social networking sites for free or work with the Coop, or any of its Delivery Agents, at any time.
