Training and Certification

The point of Watershed Wealth is to recreate ecologically functional habitat and make money doing it.  There is a lot of knowledge required, both about the environment and about business, in order to correctly execute this idea.

That is why only certified WWC Delivery Agents, who have completed our training and who undertake regular upgrades to maintain their status are authorized to represent the high standards of the Watershed Wealth Coop.

The training itself is designed to be as accessible, yet rigourous as possible.  The knowledge-based components are completed using a personal online training account that keeps track of the training modules assigned to you by Watershed Wealth Coop after an assessment of your background and current knowledge levels, as well as your intended activities and interests as a Delivery Agent.  This approach has been taken in order to bring people from both business and environmental sectors who have potentially vastly different skill-sets and interests to a common biological understanding and on business and delivery standards, while also accommodating flexibility in the suite of potential end activities a Delivery Agent might undertake as a WWC franchisee.

During the training period a combination of online courses, webinars, video and other assignments will be administered, as will a field practicum for those who successfully complete their coursework. These can be done at your own pace and does not correlate to a particular timeline, although the entire training has to be successfully completed within two years of starting. We work with a wide variety of academic institutions and highly qualified and experienced education providers to deliver the modules, and work with you to investigate equivalency options with your local educational institutions for ease of access.  Your assessment and decisions about modules and equivalency are overseen on a case by case basis by the Training and Certification Committee of the Coop.

To take the training, you first need to become a Watershed Wealth Coop member by purchasing Delivery Agent Member Class shares (these shares pay dividends, see the Buying Shares page for more information).  The training is paid for separately.  As training module combinations are not the same for everyone and the cost for each module is different, you'll need to contact us for an estimate on your training's costs.
