Let Us Help Your Non-Profit!
How will WWC help my non-profit?
The Watershed Wealth Coop is a new "social enterprise" approach to solving a
couple of common problems most non-profits have: shrinking grant dollar pools and
the need for capacity-building funds to allow them to undertake their desired
activities or develop the group. WWC was designed to help a range of non-profit
and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working on any community issue
(environmental, business, or social sectors) and in any ecosystem in North
America:
Local volunteer groups (Groups with no staff, or who run mostly on
volunteer steam) can:
* Get Stuff. Use the information and downloadable resources on the site, get a
free webpage for your group, or use the free online tools such as software for
photo galleries, accounting, event planning and more.
* Fundraise. When people enter the WWC site through your site and then purchase
something, it is tracked and your group receives a portion.
* Educate. Use the program as an educational campaign in your community and
encourage your citizens and/or local governments to do Watershed Wealth on their
property. WWC can provide toolkits and materials to make this easy, and it
results in increased local economic activity via development of local "green
jobs".
* Find volunteers. WWC has a student and volunteer portal that will forward you
people in your area that want to volunteer.
* Invest. Buy investment shares in the Coop for the dividends you would get
back and to support the concept, then use the dividends however you want to in
support of your group's activities.
Regional or Special Purpose NGOs (Groups with 1-10 staff, or budgets up to
$500,000) can:
* Diversify Programming. If your area has nothing like this, but you would like
it to, Watershed Wealth can customize a locally appropriate "turnkey" program
scaled to your group's organizational budget. WWC provides special support to
evaluate the fit for your group.
* Develop Income. Your group could undertake the training required to become a
Delivery Agent, and establish your own social enterprise to generate funds for
your organization.
* Get exposure. Watershed Wealth heavily promotes its partners and Delivery
Agents, so undertaking this as an organizational activity will raise your
profile in your area.
Large NGOs (Groups with many staff, large geographic areas / budgets,
membership base, chapters) can:
* Guide WWC. Partner your existing initiatives, join the Coop, or
participate on WWC's Advisory Teams.
* Spearhead Joint Initiatives. Work with WWC to develop topically
directed initiative that engages your particular membership's interests to
generate activity (invasive plant removal, green roofs, target species habitat
restoration, social issue remedies)
* Help your chapters. Work with WWC to design offerings for your
chapters that provide them with tools and revenue generating opportunities.
